Pastor Rylan has known the Lord and His calling from a young age. At twelve years old, he sensed a clear call to pastoral ministry, convinced that nothing is more important than proclaiming the Word of God. That conviction led him to a Bible college in Europe and into more than six years of ministry across multiple nations—preaching throughout Eastern Europe, serving as a young adults pastor in Ukraine, and eventually planting a church there. It was in Ukraine that he met his wife, Tanya, and they have now been married for six years, faithfully serving together.
When war forced them to return to the United States in 2022, they continued serving at a church in Lake County California along side Pastor Rylan's father. while prayerfully seeking God’s direction, after a year of prayer and a break from full time ministry, the Lord opened doors in Napa Valley. There, what began as a simple Friday night ministry—a place for people to gather and encounter Jesus—slowly revealed itself to be something more. Through prayer, obedience, and spiritual confirmation, God made it clear that this was not meant to remain a midweek gathering. On November 16, 2025, The Gathering Church officially moved to Sunday services, marking the transition from a Friday night ministry to a local church.
Pastor Rylan leads with humility, faithfulness, fear of the Lord and a deep commitment to shepherding the people God has placed in front of him—trusting God with every yes and doing the next right thing.
