The Gathering exists to be a place where all can gather in faith, grow in truth, and go in boldness for the glory of King Jesus.
We gather under one name—Jesus Christ—believing that His name breaks chains, restores lives, and brings true freedom. We are committed to growing in truth through the uncompromising teaching of God’s Word. We believe salvation is a gift of grace through Jesus alone, available to anyone who calls on His name.
We aim to be a joyful and life-giving church. We also value creativity as a gift from God, expressing it in how we communicate, live, serve, etc.
We believe the Church is called not just to attend services, but to live on mission—bold, Spirit-filled, and unashamed to make heaven crowded and Jesus known.
Gather in faith. Grow in truth. Go in boldness.
We believe in one God who exists eternally as three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—equal in nature, united as one God.
We believe the Scriptures are the inspired, authoritative, and sufficient Word of God. The Bible is the foundation of our faith, the guide for daily living, and the centerpiece of the local church. We believe verse-by-verse teaching of the Scripture leads to spiritual maturity.
We believe all people have fallen short of God’s glory and that salvation is only possible through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Salvation cannot be earned—it is a gift of grace received by faith through Jesus alone.
We believe anyone can place their trust in Jesus Christ for salvation. At The Gathering, we believe people belong before they believe, and God desires that none should perish but that all come to repentance.
We believe water baptism is an outward symbol of an inward change. While baptism does not save, it is a biblical command and a public declaration of faith. It represents dying to the old self and being raised to new life in Christ.
We believe believers receive power through the Holy Spirit to be witnesses for Jesus. The baptism of the Holy Spirit may occur at salvation or as a separate experience. The gifts of the Spirit are active today and are given to build up and edify the church.
We believe Christians will experience trials and sickness as a result of a fallen world, spiritual opposition, or human choice. We believe God still heals and we pray for healing, while trusting God’s will and His glory in every situation.
We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ and that the rapture of the Church will occur before the Great Tribulation.
We believe the spiritual realm is real. Angels serve God and carry out His will, while fallen angels oppose Him and are destined for judgment. Demons may oppress people, but believers cannot be possessed, because the Spirit of God dwells within them and is greater than any force of darkness.
We believe that all things in the life of the church should be done decently and in order, as instructed by Scripture. We believe the Holy Spirit moves powerfully, yet never contradicts Scripture or produces confusion. Whether in worship, prophecy, prayer, or the exercise of spiritual gifts, we seek clarity, reverence, and order—allowing God to move freely while honoring biblical boundaries. We do not believe chaos reflects the character of God, but that Spirit-led order creates space for clarity and true transformation.
We believe the office of pastor is biblically assigned to men. Women are immensely gifted by God and encouraged to use their gifts in the church, but the pastoral office is reserved for men according to Scripture.
